Attraction

Our eyes meet

From across the street

You smile

I wink

You cross

I think

"Damn he's fine"

Looking like a chocolate milkshake that I want to taste

He asks me for a date

Wait!

"Isn't that a wedding band on your finger?"

He say's "yes but I'm a swinger"

This could have been so lovely

I loved the way he hugged me

Goodbye.

Mos Def "Say You Will" Cover

I Love it!  It's my favorite song on Kanye's Album "808's and Heartbreaks". The jamaican soul Mos Def puts on it and the live band with the rap at the end makes it even doper.  12 minutes of ear pleasure. I can listen to this all day. Photo by J. Ivy

Indi Tyton

My new facebook friend Deri Tyton sent me this video he directed. This jazz singer is his wife Indi Tyton. Him being new behind the camera and it being independently done, did a cool job I must say. I think he should keep going and his wife with that soothing voice as well! Love the story line and the Chicago back drop :)

Jerkin' - The Cali Movement

Female Jerk

There is a new dance movement in Cali called "Jerkin". You probably have heard the official song for it on the radio by the NEW BOYZ called, "You're a Jerk". If you haven't heard the song, youtube it and you'll find tons of videos with kids jerkin to it. I like the fact that Californians came up with their own dance because the dirty south has been holding it down with dances for a few years now. Being an ex dancer myself, I am always fascinated when new ones come out. If I were 16 years old again I would be JERKIN SOMETHING SERIOUS! lol!

Do they really have to do it in traffic though? Don't try that at home folks.

Rewind Wednesday - Jill Scott

This song is so powerful to me still. It was definitely one of my favs from the album. We come into this earth alone and leave out alone. Loving yourself is very important. I know a couple people who appear to be confident and happy but secretly loathe themselves. Then they wonder why their relationships don't work out, be it romantic or strictly platonic. If you don't love you, who else will?

Robo-Twitt

What was I saying earlier about Twitter....?   This article just made my indifference that much greater.

Ice Cream

Damn you turn me on

just like a sexy R n B song

I anticipate your arrival with lust

my naked body needs your touch

as soon as your knees hit the bed

my nipples perk up so you can be fed

but hold that thought baby

your throbbing bone looks so tasty

I want to lick it up and down

til you make those sounds

from my suction and seduction

it's swollen bout to erupt and

no? not yet?

my turn? bet

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

your tongue is incredibly slow and quick witted

got me soaking wet with it

my legs open wider and wider

moans of desire

you have two handfuls of breast

and a mouthful of my sex

you already know what's next

Ice Cream

Rewind Wednesday - Absolutely Fabulous

I miss this British show so much! I have to go to YouTube sometimes to get a fix. My Australian girlfriend hipped me to it about 10 years ago. It's now off air but anyone who was up on it knows that Lisa Kudrow mimics their style in her comedic delivery in everything she does especially when she was on friends. Sarcastic humor at it's finest.

The Anti-Twitter

I'm probably going to get a lot of flack for this but I do not see what the big deal is about Twitter. I've been online for years and I think it is the dumbest thing ever created. Who gives a damn what Puffy, Diddy, Sean Combs or whatever his name is now, is doing? Who gives a damn what anybody is doing all the time? If people on my facebook page update their status too much with dumb ass updates I put them in hide mode. It keeps me from deleting them. I will not broadcast my every move. That's wack. If Ellen is taking a dump y'all tweeters will be the first to know! I think it is fanatical to live vicariously through other people on a daily basis. Is Diddy following you? HELL NO! So why the hell are you following him and telling me Diddy did this yesterday and Diddy is in Paris or having 15 hour tantric sex??? That's both pathetic and gross lol Is anything sacred any more? Live your OWN life! Have your own sex! Who cares!!?! If I want to know what my friends are doing I call or text them. Remember that? What happen to the human aspect of contact? It's bad enough that most of us like to text more than talk nowadays. I'm guilty of that myself but I am going to try to be more personal because this is getting out of hand. All modern technology is not good technology. The only people I'm following is my friends and family and I really hate the word "follow". How about "support".

With all due respect....Twitter is for Tweekers. Yes, I said it. lol

Ok got to go pee now.

Freaky Friday - President Obama

In my life time I have never heard the words "Sexy" and "President of the United States" in the same sentence until now. President Obama oozes sexiness by his power, work ethic, love for his wife/children/country, his swagg, captivating smile, intelligence and groundbreaking speeches. He did his thing at the G-20 summit too! I mean seriously, what other President has been photographed with his shirt off besides Kennedy??? Exactly.

Change

President Obama ran his whole campaign on this concept and as we all know, it worked. So why is it so hard for people to apply it in their lives? A wise man once told me "without change there is no growth". That has stuck with me for years and I believe in it wholeheartedly and when I saw that "change" was one of Obamas slogans, I immediately became interested because "change" is my middle name, sort of speak.

When I see people acting in a negative way or doing the same unhealthy things they did from prior years it erks me to the core. I distance myself until they (in Lawrence Fishbourne's voice in School Daze) WAKE UP or in some instances, forever. Habits are learned rather good or bad. Jump on the good side. Let the dysfunctional, unthoughtful, catty, pretentious, non-productive, useless, selfish, non-appreciative, transparent bullshyt go ladies and gentlemen. We are all human and make mistakes, but at what point is enough, enough? If the decisions you are making don't feel good to your soul then guess what? It probably isn't a great idea to do it. This sounds so cliche' but I'm going to say it anyway, BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE.

I've had people back home tell me, "You've changed!", like that's a bad thing. I welcome it. I even had a cousin I hadn't seen in awhile tell me, "Why are you talking so Oprah-like?" and "I don't know who you are anymore". I guess because my vocabulary had grown I was now uncool. The funny thing is, hers hadn't changed since the times we used to hang out which was the early 90's but she was right about one thing, she really doesn't know who I am anymore. I definitely am not that kid from back then. I am a cultured, grown and sexy, polished version of her...
